Mountain Shadows Denali

Mountain Shadows Denali (AKC #WS25450104), the Alaskan Malamute who inspired us to begin breeding.

Denali is a giant Alaskan Malamute, sired by Sir Dakato (AKC #WS14421703). Deni’s dam’s name was Libby (AKC #WS07129705).

Denali is an energetic and loving dog with good leadership qualities. He loves to stretch his long legs and run, and, weighing in at 95-lbs, is a lean, mean running machine.

Mountain Shadows Aurora Night Star

Mountain Shadows Aurora Night Star (AKC #WS31645906) is a beautiful bitch with excellent lines and lineage. Aurora is loving, goes crazy for slices of apples and is very devoted to her human (our daughter). We have retired Aurora from our breeding program for the sake of her health.

Aurora is a standard Alaskan Malamute, sired by Adak’s Aurora Borealis II (AKC #WS23915906, AKC DNA #V583763). Aurora’s dam was Lost Creek’s Tequila Rose (AKC #WS23230309).

Mountain Shadows Aurora Paniga Qikiqtaq "Squeaky"

Mountain Shadows Aurora Paniga Qikiqtaq (also known as Squeaky) (AKC #WS36470305) is the daughter of Aurora and Denali. Squeaky is an exceptional bitch with an outstanding personality and ideal traits of the Alaskan Malamute. We are proud that Qiki will take her mother’s place in our breeding rotation in 2013 after she reaches two years of age and has been OFA and CERF certified.

Kiprock

Kiprock’s Lord of the Ring (also known as Jazz) (AKC #WS02581809) is an award winning standard male who holds first prize ribbons from the Nov. 29, 2003 AKC Southern Colorado Kennel Club Dog Show; Feb. 15, 2004 Denver AKC Colorado Kennel Club, Inc. Dog Show; March 7, 2004 AKC Garden City, Kansas Kennel Club, Inc., Dog Show and Best of Winners at the March 7, 2004 AKC Garden City, Kansas Kennel Club, Inc., Dog Show. He also holds the Best of Opposite Sex ribbon from the March 7, 2004 AKC Garden City, Kansas Kennel Club, Inc., Dog Show and the Reserve Winners ribbon from the Feb. 15, 2004 Denver AKC Colorado Kennel Club, Inc. Dog Show.

Jazz holds too many more ribbons to list here – he is truly and exceptional example of a standard Alaskan Malamute. He is a loving and loyal dog who has a very dominant and winning personality. His puppies are exceptional. Jazz was sired by Champion Adair’n’ Hug’s Power Stroke (AKC #WP33236301, AKC DNA #V296674). Jazz’s dam was Kiprock’s Kiwi Mist (AKC #WP97674303).

Lost Creek

Lost Creek’s Tequila Rose (AKC #WS23230309) is Mountain Shadow’s second Alaskan Malamute and is definitely the matriarch of our kennel. We like to joke that, on the AKC Web Site, next to Alaskan Malamutes, it says, “See Rosie Girl.” She truly is an ideal Alaskan Malamute.

Rose’s sire was Dakota North Star (AKC #WS09474902). Her dam was Tika XII (AKC #WS16885409). Rose loves to crawl into your lap and give you kisses. She is gentle, strong and can run circles around several of our bigger male dogs.
